Since May of 2018, the Bobcat Eats Food Waste Awareness and Prevention Program had been able to grow exponentially! We have partnered with over 20 new food donors and distribution sites across Merced County in an effort to reduce food waste and food insecurity.
Since May of 2018 to March of 2019, the program has rescued over 901,212.8 pounds of perfectly edible food as well as reduced 926 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) emissions from the atmosphere.
